Business aviation handling
Ravenair/LAS runs a Business Aviation Centre beside the GA apron, and XLR runs a private terminal (XLR Executive Jet Centre). The airport's private aviation page lists XLR, Ravenair and Helicentre.
Ravenair / Liverpool Aviation Services (LAS)
Describes itself as the airport's only full-service FBO. Purpose-built Business Aviation Centre at the General & Business Aviation Area, at the eastern end of the airport by the Runway 27 threshold. Also has facilities at the Main Apron. In-house Jet A-1 and Avgas.
XLR Executive Jet Centres Liverpool
Private terminal with VIP lounges, private security screening, VIP arrivals service and a secure car park. Hours 08:00-19:00 local, 24 hours on request.
Worth knowing before you fly
- Where the aircraft parks depends on its size. Smaller jets use the GA apron at Ravenair's Business Aviation Centre by the Runway 27 threshold, away from the passenger terminal. Larger jets park on the Main Apron next to the terminal, and passengers meet at the airport's vehicle access point CP1.
- On the Main Apron, a charter flight (an AOC-operated, 'qualifying' flight) parks in the security Critical Part, and passengers and bags are screened at CP1 as at an airline terminal. A private, non-qualifying flight uses a temporary demarcated area with no passenger screening.
- Driving south over the Mersey via the Mersey Gateway Bridge is quick but tolled, paid online by number-plate recognition. The M6/M62 route has no tolls.
