Slots and permissions are different at events

During major events, airports often run special slot, parking and prior-permission (PPR) schemes, and each airport sets its own rules for each event. Every event quote is subject to the slots and permissions being granted. We apply for them as soon as you book, and if your first-choice airport is full we offer the nearest alternative.

The book-by date is our suggested latest date to confirm for the widest choice of aircraft. Aircraft and slots are committed early for big events, so booking sooner usually means more options and a better price. After it, flights are often still possible, with less choice.

What does the book-by date mean?

The book-by date is our suggested latest date to confirm for the widest choice of aircraft. Aircraft and slots are committed early for big events, so booking sooner usually means more options and a better price. After it, flights are often still possible, with less choice.

Are airport slots guaranteed for big events?

No. Airports near major events often limit arrivals, departures and parking, and run their own slot or prior-permission schemes. We apply for slots the moment you confirm, and your quote is subject to them being granted. If your first-choice airport is full, we offer the nearest alternative and the transfer time from it.

Can the aircraft wait for me during the event?

Sometimes. When parking is limited, the aircraft may drop you off, fly to another airport to park, and come back for your return. We plan this into the quote so you know before you book.

What if an event's dates aren't announced yet?

We show the month it usually runs and set the book-by date once the organisers confirm. You can still ask us to hold a plan: we'll watch for the dates and come back to you.
