Business aviation handling
The airport's own terminal, with an executive lounge, concierge and meeting rooms. Passengers can be driven directly to the aircraft, and there is complimentary secure car parking with EV charging directly outside the terminal.
Farnborough Airport FBO
The airport itself handles all visiting civil aircraft on the North Apron, and use of its handling is normally mandatory. Private terminal with lounges, concierge, meeting spaces and a partner hotel.
Worth knowing before you fly
- Closing time is enforced to the minute: arrivals must be close in five minutes before closing and departures airborne by closing. Late passengers on a Sunday evening (20:00 close) can mean an overnight stay.
- Weekend and bank holiday movements are capped and carry surcharges, so book weekend slots early in busy periods.
- Only ICAO Chapter 4 aircraft are accepted, so check older aircraft types before quoting.
- Landing distance is 1,800 m, shorter than the 2,440 m runway suggests, so the operator should check performance for larger jets.

Airport
| Opening hours | Mon-Fri 07:00-22:00 local, Sat, Sun and bank holidays 08:00-20:00 local (the UK AIP gives 0700-2200 and 0800-2000 UTC in winter, one hour earlier in summer). Handling, de-icing and air traffic control follow the same hours. The airport may close earlier if no traffic is scheduled (notified by NOTAM). Closed on 25 and 26 December. |
|---|---|
| Prior permission | The airport is PPR through Farnborough Airport Ops. A flight plan naming Farnborough as destination must not be filed until PPR is approved. Conditions of use come with the PPR request. |
| Customs and immigration | By arrangement (UK AIP). The airport advertises on-site customs, immigration and screening. |
| Slots | The UK AIP does not describe slot coordination; every movement needs PPR. Planning permission caps the airport at 50,000 movements a year, with 8,900 of them at weekends and on bank holidays (Rushmoor Borough Council). The UK AIP warns that movements are restricted at weekends and on bank holidays and that surcharges apply then. |
| Noise and night restrictions | No arrivals or departures outside the published hours, or at all on 25 and 26 December. Arrivals must be at or below 4,000 ft and within 12 track miles of touchdown by closing time minus five minutes. Departures must be airborne by closing time; start-up is refused less than five minutes before closing, and taxi less than three minutes before. Only ICAO Chapter 4 aircraft are accepted. APUs may not run Mon-Fri 22:30-06:30 local or Sat, Sun and bank holidays 20:30-07:30 local, and otherwise only for one hour after arrival and one hour before departure. Pilots are asked to avoid reverse thrust. |
| Aircraft parking | Hangar space for visiting aircraft is available on prior notice to Farnborough Airport Ops (UK AIP). No parking time limits are published. |
| De-icing | Available during aerodrome hours; contact Farnborough Airport Ops. |
| Other restrictions | Scheduled passenger services, inclusive tour charters and bulk freight flights are prohibited. Declared distances are shorter than the paved runway because of displaced thresholds: take-off run 2,000 m (runway 06) or 2,063 m (runway 24), and landing distance 1,800 m in either direction. An emissions levy applies to all aircraft. Aircraft must be 8.33 kHz radio compliant. |
