Business aviation handling
Roskilde is a small general aviation airport with one terminal. Roskilde Executive Handling offers a VIP passenger lounge next to the apron, a crew lounge, an 18-seat conference room and free Wi-Fi. On the apron, passengers must be escorted to and from the terminal by the aircraft's pilot (AIP).
Roskilde Executive Handling
The airport's own FBO and ground handler (call sign "Roskilde Handling"). Aircraft above 3,000 kg must call Roskilde Handling 15 minutes before arrival, and ground handling is mandatory for non-resident commercial and private operators above 3,000 kg MTOM using the main apron (AIP).
Worth knowing before you fly
- Roskilde is the main business aviation alternative to Copenhagen Kastrup, with its own handling company and VIP lounge, and passengers walk only a short distance between terminal and aircraft.
- The runways are short (1,799 m and 1,500 m), so long-range and larger jets may be weight-limited or not able to use the airport. Check the aircraft's performance before quoting.
- Movements outside 07:00-22:00 local need PPR, requested no later than an hour before the airport closes. Late evening arrivals must be arranged in advance.
- Customs and immigration need an hour's notice, and non-Schengen flights must send the passenger and crew list to the police before departure.

Airport
| Opening hours | The aerodrome operator's hours are 06:00-21:00 UTC in winter and 05:00-20:00 UTC in summer, which is 07:00-22:00 local all year (AIP Denmark). Outside these hours all traffic needs PPR, submitted no later than one hour before closing time. Air traffic services, fuel, handling, security and de-icing are listed as H24, with PPR for fuel, handling and de-icing outside the operator's hours. |
|---|---|
| Prior permission | No PPR is needed during the aerodrome operator's hours (07:00-22:00 local). Outside those hours PPR is required for all traffic and must be submitted no later than one hour before closing time. Rescue and fire-fighting above the default Category 3 (Category 4 to 7) is also by PPR, at least one hour before the flight or before closing time. |
| Customs and immigration | The airport is open to traffic to and from all states. Customs clearance and immigration are H24 with one hour's prior notice (AIP Denmark). For flights to or from countries outside the Schengen area, the pilot in command must send a crew and passenger list to the local police before departure, and non-EU passengers without a Schengen residence permit must be registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (Roskilde Airport). |
| Slots | No slot coordination is published for Roskilde in the AIP. |
| Noise and night restrictions | No night curfew is published, but outside 07:00-22:00 local every movement needs PPR. Jet aircraft may only operate if they are noise certificated to ICAO Annex 16 Chapter 2 or 3 and meet the Chapter 2 noise criteria for aircraft with an MTOM up to 34,000 kg (AIP). VFR take-offs and landings should avoid overflying nearby towns. |
| Aircraft parking | The AIP lists no hangar space for visiting aircraft. Arriving aircraft hold on taxiway G or E for mandatory marshaller guidance to parking. No business-jet parking time limits are published. |
| De-icing | Type 1 and Type 2 fluid, limited capacity. Available H24 with one hour's notice; outside the operator's hours by PPR submitted no later than one hour before closing time (AIP Denmark). |
| Other restrictions | Several code C types are banned (A321, A21N, B3XM, DH8D and the MD-80/MD-90 series), the A320 may use runways 11/29 only, and code C aircraft with an outer main gear wheel span of 9 metres or more are not permitted. Larger aircraft cannot use all taxiway curves. All departures must file a flight plan, and IFR departures a complete one. APU use on the apron is limited to 5 minutes after on-block and 10 minutes before departure, except in extreme temperatures or if the GPU is unserviceable. |
