Private jets at Palma de Mallorca Airport
Palma is open around the clock with two long runways, customs at all hours and a General Aviation terminal served by two authorised FBOs, AviaVIP (Aviapartner) and Mallorcair. It is slot-coordinated all year, and in summer the small business aviation apron fills up, so arrival and departure slots and parking must be agreed before the trip.

Business aviation handling
The AIP describes a General Aviation terminal that passengers and crew can opt to use, with two FBOs authorised by the airport: Aviapartner Palma de Mallorca FBO (AviaVIP) and Mallorcair.
AviaVIP (Aviapartner Palma de Mallorca FBO)
Authorised FBO for the General Aviation terminal (AIP). Inside the GAT; open 24/7; over 500 m2 of lounges overlooking the ramp, two passenger lounges, a meeting room and a large crew lounge.
Mallorcair
Authorised FBO for the General Aviation terminal and general aviation ramp agent (AIP). Advertises 24/7 handling and FBO service with VIP lounges, crew rooms and meeting rooms.
Worth knowing before you fly
- Summer parking is the pinch point. The General Aviation apron is small, so between April and September slots are given only with the arrival and departure together, and a drop-and-go may be limited to 3 hours with a crew member on board if the apron is full.
- Keep to the agreed times and aircraft. If a summer arrival does not match its slot, the airport can cut the stay to 3 hours and keep the crew with the aircraft until it leaves.
- Larger jets (over 20 m long) can stay no more than 7 days on the General Aviation apron between June and September without airport approval, which matters for clients keeping the aircraft on the island.
- Passengers can use the General Aviation terminal through AviaVIP or Mallorcair rather than the main terminal, and customs is available at all hours.

Airport
| Opening hours | Airport, customs and immigration, ATS, fuel, handling and de-icing are all H24 (Spanish AIP, AIRAC AMDT 09/26, WEF 1 October 2026). AviaVIP and Mallorcair both advertise 24/7 service. |
|---|---|
| Prior permission | No general PPR for civil flights; PPR (72 hours ahead) applies to foreign state and military aircraft only. A handling agent is mandatory for every general and business aviation flight. From 1 April to 30 September, business and general aviation flights must request slots for both the arrival and the departure, giving registration, ICAO type, length and wingspan; the request is not authorised until coordination is confirmed. |
| Customs and immigration | Customs and immigration H24 (AIP). Passengers and crew can choose to go through the General Aviation terminal. |
| Slots | Coordinated airport (Level 3) in summer and winter (AESA list). Business and general aviation flights need confirmed arrival and departure slots; from 1 April to 30 September the request must also give the aircraft's length and wingspan. Three hours before departure the flight plan is checked against the airport slot under A-CDM. |
| Noise and night restrictions | No curfew is published. Night hours are 21:00-05:00 UTC in summer and 22:00-06:00 UTC in winter (23:00-07:00 local all year). At night, reverse thrust above idle is not allowed except for safety, training flights are banned, and APU use on remote stands without ground power is restricted. Departures follow set noise abatement procedures, and noise and tracks are monitored. |
| Aircraft parking | The AIP says the General Aviation apron has limited capacity. From 1 June to 30 September, aircraft over 20 m long may stay on the General Aviation apron for no more than 7 days unless the airport agrees. When the apron is full, the airport may only allow a stop of up to 3 hours to drop passengers and refuel, with at least one crew member staying on board. If an arriving flight does not match its slot (time, type or date), the airport can refuse the agreed stay and allow only 3 hours. There is no hangar space. |
| De-icing | Available H24, provided by the handling agent. De-icing area on stands 104 to 109 and 114 to 118B (AIP). |
| Other restrictions | From 1 May to 31 October, aircraft cruising below 220 kt are restricted 05:30-07:00 and 16:00-18:30 (AIP times, UTC basis) and may face delays. VFR traffic is not accepted from 1 May to 31 October, Friday to Sunday, except hospital, military, rescue and state flights. Runway 24L is not used for take-off except in contingencies. Palma runs A-CDM: a flight that does not request start-up within 5 minutes of its target off-block time loses its start-up slot. |
