Private jets at Dublin Airport

Dublin is Ireland's main airport, 10 km north of the city, open around the clock except on Christmas Day, with customs at all hours and business-aviation handling from Signature and Universal Aviation. It is a slot-coordinated airport, so every private flight needs a slot, and extra slot rules apply while Ireland holds the EU Presidency in 2026.

Airport

Opening hoursThe aerodrome, air traffic services, fuelling, handling, security and de-icing are H24 in the AIP for Ireland (AIRAC 1 October 2026). The airport is closed on 25 December. Signature's FBO hours are 06:00-22:00 local, with call-out on request. Universal Aviation's hours are 07:00-22:00, with 24 hours on request.
Prior permissionNo separate PPR is published for business jets; the slot from the coordinator (ACL) is the approval. All aircraft must use a ground handler.
Customs and immigrationCustoms, Irish Immigration and Department of Agriculture services are H24 (AIP). US Customs and Border Protection is available 07:00-17:00 by prior negotiation with the US Embassy in Dublin. Universal Aviation takes passengers and crew from the aircraft to the Platinum Services building for immigration and customs; it says the process takes only a few minutes. Signature lists on-site customs and immigration assistance.
SlotsCoordinated airport (IATA Level 3), with Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) as coordinator. ACL's office hours are 08:30-17:00 UK time on weekdays; outside those hours the airport operator handles short-notice requests. During the 2026 EU Presidency, every flight including general and business aviation needs a slot before the flight plan is filed, requested through the ground handler. On blocked dates, charter and GA requests are waitlisted until 7 days before the flight; the last listed blocked dates are 12-13 November 2026.
Noise and night restrictionsRunway 10L/28R (the north runway) is not used for take-off or landing between 23:00 and 07:00 local, except for safety, maintenance, exceptional traffic, bad weather, ATC faults or emergencies elsewhere. Between 23:00 and 06:00 local runways are prioritised for noise abatement and reverse thrust should not be used on landing unless needed. Category C and D jets must stay inside environmental corridors after departure, and jets on visual approach must join final no closer than 6 NM. ACL states that there are currently no specific night restrictions at Dublin.
Aircraft parkingUniversal says general aviation parking is allocated by the airport through the handler. During the EU Presidency (2026), ACL says all aircraft must leave as soon as possible after off-loading passengers, and overnight stays are not guaranteed and must be agreed in advance with Dublin Airport. Hangar space for visiting aircraft is on request from Dublin Aerospace and Aer Lingus.
De-icingAvailable H24, on request from Swissport and Aer Lingus.
Other restrictionsGround handling is mandatory for all aircraft. Dublin runs Airport-Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM), with flight plans checked against the airport slot three hours before off-blocks. Helicopters need prior approval. Runways can close for maintenance about every eight weeks, for around four nights between 22:30 and 05:30 local, promulgated by NOTAM.
