Private jets at Brussels Airport

Brussels Airport is a slot-coordinated airport with a separate General Aviation Terminal, where ExecuJet and Aviapartner Executive handle private flights, and customs at all hours. Every private IFR flight needs an airport slot, requested through the handler, and there are weekend night bans and strict noise rules.

Opening hoursThe aerodrome, customs and immigration, air traffic services, handling, security and de-icing are H24 (AIP Belgium). Between 22:00 and 06:00 local, fuel is only available with credit cards accepted by the fuel company. ExecuJet's hours are weekdays 07:00-22:00 and weekends and legal holidays 08:30-17:30, 24/7 on request (Brussels Airport). Aviapartner Executive is open 06:00-23:00 local with 24/7 availability.
Prior permissionNo separate PPR, but every IFR take-off and landing needs an airport slot obtained before the flight plan is filed. For general and business aviation, slots and the slot authorisation number must be requested through a handling agent, not directly from the coordinator. The number goes in item 18 of the flight plan as RMK/ASL followed by the number.
Customs and immigrationCustoms and immigration are H24 (AIP Belgium). ExecuJet lists customs and immigration arrangements among its services.
SlotsCoordinated airport (Belgium Slot Coordination). Every IFR take-off and landing needs a slot. General and business aviation must request slots only through a handling agent; requests sent direct to the coordinator are not accepted. Flight plans without the slot authorisation number are not taken into the departure sequence.
Noise and night restrictionsNo airport slots are given for take-off between 01:00 and 06:00 local on Saturday mornings, or between 00:00 and 06:00 local on Sunday and Monday mornings, and none for landing between 01:00 and 05:00 local on Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings (landings by aircraft with a quota count of 2 or less are exempt). For jets of 34 tonnes MTOW or more, or with more than 19 seats, quota count limits apply, with the strictest limits 23:00-06:00 local. Marginally compliant Chapter 3 aircraft are banned at night. Reverse thrust above idle only for safety. (AIP times are in UTC; local times shown here.)
Aircraft parkingThe AIP lists no hangar space for visiting aircraft, although ExecuJet advertises ramp and hangar parking. General aviation handling is compulsory. Handling on stands 401 and 415 is only allowed by day. No business-jet parking time limits are published.
De-icingH24, by arrangement with the handling agent (AIP Belgium).
Other restrictionsGeneral aviation handling is compulsory. Because of limited security screening resources, the AIP says no additional passenger departure flights are accepted between 23:00 and 05:00 local, except delayed flights. Between 23:00 and 06:00 local, taxi restrictions apply. Mode S transponders must work on the ground.
