Private jets at Athens International Airport
Athens is Greece's main airport, and business-jet passengers use a separate General Aviation Terminal with its own customs and immigration. From 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027 the airport is fully slot coordinated while the western runway is rebuilt, so every private flight needs a slot and stays longer than 90 minutes need extra airport approval.

General aviation is handled through the General Aviation Facilities (GAF) building, which Universal Aviation calls the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), with customs and immigration clearance there.

ExecuJet lists Athens through its Greek partner JetSet, whose headquarters are at the airport. General aviation uses the General Aviation Facilities building. Limited hangar space available.

Worth knowing before you fly
- A drop-off or pick-up of up to 90 minutes can be booked up to 7 days ahead. Anything longer, or an aircraft type not on the declared stands, can only be requested the day before or on the day with an airport PPR, so an overnight stay cannot be confirmed early this winter.
- Only 9 stands are declared for business jets, and only 2 can take large-cabin types such as the Global 7500 or Gulfstream G650, so slots for big jets may be scarce.
- Western runway works cut capacity until about May 2027, with full closures 5 November-18 December 2026 and 18-23 February 2027. Expect fewer slots and possible delays.
- Passengers use the separate General Aviation Terminal with its own customs and immigration, away from the main terminal.
