Private jets at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport

Nice is open around the clock, with two parallel runways, customs at all hours and a dedicated business aviation terminal used by Signature, AviaVIP and DC Aviation G-OPS. It is a slot-coordinated airport all year, so every private flight needs a COHOR slot and a handling agent before it leaves.

Airport

Opening hoursThe French AIP lists customs and police, ATS, MET and security as H24. Fuel is published as SASCA 04:00-21:00 and WF Aviation Services 04:00-22:00 (AIP times, UTC basis), without prior notice; outside these hours fuel is on request one hour after landing through the airport operator or handler. Signature and AviaVIP both list their Nice FBOs as open 24 hours a day.
Prior permissionThe AIP does not publish a PPR requirement, but every movement needs a COHOR airport slot, and business and general aviation flights must enter the COHOR authorisation number in item 18 of the flight plan. Handling is compulsory for VFR and IFR flights, and crews must contact a handling agent before leaving the departure airport. Signature says arriving aircraft need prior permission and slots and that it arranges both.
Customs and immigrationCustoms and police are H24 (AIP). Signature and AviaVIP both advertise onsite customs and immigration at the business aviation terminal.
SlotsCoordinated airport all year (French Ministry list, updated July 2026). Slots are allocated by COHOR, and business aviation flights must quote the COHOR authorisation number in the flight plan.
Noise and night restrictionsChapter 2 aircraft and the noisiest Chapter 3 aircraft may not land 23:30-06:15 local or take off 23:15-06:00 local; waivers are exceptional and granted by the minister. Engine runs over five minutes are not allowed 21:00-06:00 local. APU use on stand is time-limited. Departures must follow the published low-noise procedures, and aircraft should not overfly land below 6,000 ft unless ATC instructs. Breaches can lead to fines of up to 40,000 euros for a company.
Aircraft parkingNo business-jet parking time limits are published. Apron KILO is used by business jets; its departure stands (1, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, Q, X, Y and Z) are closed 22:00-05:00 UTC in winter and an hour earlier in UTC in summer (23:00-06:00 local all year). Aircraft leaving in that window must be towed to another stand first. The AIP also warns that the layout of KILO can put some business jets' tails close to other aircraft.
De-icingNot provided, according to the AIP.
Other restrictionsTraining flights are prohibited for aircraft over 5.7 t, and for lighter aircraft 11:00-13:00 local. Ultralights, gliders, airships, balloons and banner towing are not allowed. In some weather the RNP Z (AR) approach is the only one available, and then only to aircraft approved for it. Handling is compulsory.
