Business aviation handling
The airport operator (NAD) partners with two FBOs for private and charter flights, Odyssey Aviation and Jet Nassau, and both clear customs and immigration in their own buildings.
Odyssey Aviation
Coral Harbour Road, about 1.5 miles from the main terminal. 24-hour FBO and handling. Customs and immigration in the same building as the lobby, two 25,000 sq ft hangars taking up to a G650 or Global Express, ramp for up to an A340, private fuel farm. Helps with charter, landing, agriculture and pet permits.
Jet Nassau
Family-owned FBO operating since 1996. Says it works 24 hours with customs and immigration on site. The AIP lists its operations as 07:00-23:00 local and also lists fuel and hangar services.
Nassau Flight Services
Ground handler listed in the AIP, H24.
General Aviation Center (Phoenix Aviation)
Listed in the AIP as an FBO, open 06:00-18:00 (winter) and 07:00-19:00 (summer) local.
Worth knowing before you fly
- Charter flights need prior permission from the Bahamas authorities (BANSA) at least 48 hours before the flight; private flights do not. Build that lead time into any charter quote.
- Bahamian customs runs around the clock and the main FBOs clear passengers in their own buildings, so arrivals do not go through the airline terminals.
- Arriving passengers need a General Declaration, an immigration card each and valid passports; pets, plants and fruit need a Department of Agriculture permit. The FBO can arrange permits with about one business day's notice.
