Worth knowing before you fly
- Budapest is open 24 hours with customs at all hours, and it is not fully slot-coordinated, so short-notice private flights are usually possible. The airport still needs at least three hours' notice of each private movement.
- The airport asks for the aircraft's noise certificate in advance, so first-time operators should send it early.
- At night (22:00-06:00 local) the number of commercial flights is capped, and only six commercial movements are planned between midnight and 05:00. Very late charter departures should be confirmed with the handler.
